Last night was another memorable European night for Liverpool FC. After the performances displayed by Rafa’s men against Juventus, Barcelona, Inter, and now Real Madrid, it is no surprise that no team in Europe want to face Liverpool.

A headed-goal from Yossi Benayoun was enough for the Reds to beat the Spanish giants at their own turf. The win gave me enough confidence that Liverpool can march on to their third successive quarter-finals in three years! I wouldn’t surprise if they get to another semi-final.

In another news, the battle between England and Italy saw the English teams got the upper hands after both Chelsea and Arsenal defeated Juventus and AS Roma by one goal to nil respectively, while Man Utd only manage to come away with a 0-0 stalemate with Inter Milan.

There won’t be any BPL games this weekend because there is going to be a Carling Cup final between Tottenham and Man Utd. It may be a lousy cup through my eyes, but the tie itself might be an interesting one.

I meant to post this earlier, but the slowness of my internet forced me to post it today and I also have to post the entire photos later because of it. I fucking hate Streamyx!

Anyway, my last Language Day for English related subjects was finally over, and it was almost a perfect day for me and my crew! I was absolutely delighted with the way our team performed on the REAL day. To be quite honest, I was nervous on the last day of practice. I thought we couldn’t pull it off with the way the actors performed on the stage. But luckily they were able to proof me wrong.

After hours of watching and waiting right after our own performance, I was able to witness the winners and runners-up of the competition. Yes, it was an inter-campus competition in case you haven’t known. I thought that we would come second at best, but after hearing the second place announcement, I knew that the first place would go to us since we were the only group left which hasn’t been announced. I feel proud to walk on the aisle to receive the winners’ hamper, and the entire crew were delighted!

A memorable moment which will always be mentioned when we enter the P. Com II classes would be the “Hey, you two over there!” line by Radzi (a.k.a. Guard II). It was memorable because of the way he said it, and it’s perfect for a punch line. I would also like to use this opportunity to congratulate to Technical Communication group winners for winning the category on their first time entering the competition! Great work everyone!

Now that it’s all done, I’ll be able to focus on my studies and assignments after this. But I will never forget the day I lead a team to winning such a fun and competitive event. I hope that we can form a team again and perform even better!

We did a private rehearsal for our performance today in the Bestari Hall. To be honest, I thought it went pretty well, except for the beginning. I could see the actors were not comfortable singing and acting at the same time. I guess it was because they haven't memorized the lyrics yet. We'll see how it goes tomorrow if they are able to memorize them.

Anyway, I forgot to tell you the title of our drama on my previous post. Well, the title is Freedom Fighters. I'm not gonna give you details on the plot, but it's about freedom, and... that's it! And I also made a few mock posters for publicity purposes.

I've finally came up with a name for my character; Traver. At first I wanted to call him Travest, but that would be totally wrong. Here's a character sheet I made just now, and I also used the opportunity to revise the character design and color choice. I thought it came out pretty well. Oh, and I am likely to present to the class about the history of Western animation tomorrow. Hope that I can present it properly.

I did this yesterday for my computer animation assignment. Well, actually it's not part of the assignment, but I thought by getting ahead of the game will ease my work. This week I'm supposed to work on a storyboard for our future flash animation. I'm still thinking about the storyline, but I do know what the setting of the story is going to be. However, I'm currently in dilemma over the character's name. If you have any idea for my character's name, feel free to leave a comment.

11 league titles have been given, 264 games have been played, 334 goals have been scored, and more than 2640 minutes of FIFA 09 football so far this year. Unfortunately, the latest league was probably gonna be our last small FIFA 09 league tournament. drift king's departure for Sunderland, UK have forced me to end it prematurely.

However, there is a possibility for someone else to replace drift king's position. If you live in Seremban or anywhere near it, you are welcome to join our little FIFA 09 league.

Anyway, the point of this post is to show you the team tactics' been used between the four of us. Firstly, let's take a look at my tactics:

SparkyX2020's "one-touch" tactics

I'm known among my friends that I play one-touch-passing most of the time, and I will always play that way in any football games. Just like Martin Tyler said in the game, "Football is a passing game..." and I seem to follow that philosophy since FIFA 08. Pass the ball around the pitch and wait for the killer pass before putting the ball at the back of the net. That's SparkyX2020 style of play.

Secondly, it's drift king's:

drift king's "panzer" tactics

drift king's approach is much more direct. His killer long balls and straightforward play have made him the overall topscorer in FIFA 09 with 109 goals. Just like the Germans in 2006 World Cup, his tactics require fast runners and good ball controls before putting the ball to the back of the net. That's drift king style of play.

Thirdly, the one-sided player, abg botak:

abg botak's "wings" tactics

Typical English style of play had always been the wing-play. abg botak's tactics are no exception. He is probably the most stylish and effective wing player among the four of us. Passing the ball down the flanks before putting crosses, pullbacks, or unexpected shots are his favourite tactics, and it just seem to work everytime we put our defence off guard. That's abg botak's style of play.

Last but no least, Biawak's tactics:

Biawak's "pass-back" tactics

Biawak's tactics are similar to SparkyX2020's, but the only problem is that his players tend to stay deep. Passing back to defenders and one-two's between the front two are his favourite movements, but his inability to score goals on regular basis is what letting him down. However, his tactics seem to work everytime he plays against SparkyX2020. That's Biawak style of play.

Malaysia is in shambles. I feel ashamed to be calling myself a Malaysian 'cause we have lost our dignity. How can two Perak excos mysteriously lost for the past few days and then reappeared out of nowhere with Sultan decided to change Perak's MB and party. Coincidence? I think not.

How can the Sultan just choose which party he wants? If that's the case, then we should change the general elections day into Sultans'-choices-day. I don't mean any offense to our Royal families, but then again, haven't they got enough scandals around them to consider themselves Royal anymore? If they can't even keep their morals in check, how can we respect them like the Kings of the old?

Same goes to Karpal Singh. The so-called chairman of the DAP seems to have lost his plot after his bizzare press conference earlier today. He's the only one in the Pakatan Rakyat who expressed his hatred against Hudud. He had always been a troublemaker ever since his outburst in the Parliament earlier last year. Seriously, he needs to be kicked out of the party and country as soon as possible.

As for Perak, I believe that SPR should hold a re-election for the state. The people have expressed their views that THEY should decide, not other parties. Barisan Nasional have robbed the people once again by buying Perak.

As much as I hate the Americans to support Israel, I highly respect their REAL democracy where no party can dominate the whole nation unlike BN.

Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they'll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them.

Another great night at Anfield! Just when I thought the game was heading to another stalemate, Torres scored twice in the dying minutes to secure maximum points for the Reds. I freaking love that guy! Let's just hope that he starts scoring for fun again like he did last season.

In addition, Liverpool recorded their first double over Chelsea since the 89/90 season, and believe it or not, that season they ended up on top of the league. Here's hoping!
