Proud to be a Red

kuyt_get500hh00 I am proud to be a Liverpool fan, and last night’s game proved to the rest of the World just how much we love this club. The team fought endlessly till the final whistle. But despite scoring four goals at the Bridge, Liverpool still got knocked out of the Champions League with Chelsea winning 7 – 5 on aggregate.

It was a very entertaining game for the neutrals and for the Reds and Blues alike. Both teams ditched out their defending philosophy and went all out attack to get as many goals as possible. And they didn’t disappoint.

The game ended in a 4 – 4 draw, but it could have been a different game if Reina didn’t make the mistake which let Chelsea get back into the game. Liverpool were the better team, though. We could have scored 4 in the first half if the players took their chances. Especially Torres. But it was not to be this year.

To be honest, I’d rather have Chelsea in the final than Manchester United any day. So, march on, Blues! March on and win your first ever European Cup!

Hillsborough Remembered

Kenny_Dalglish_965839527 Today is also the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, and we (the Reds’ fans) still remember it like if it happened only yesterday. It may have been a tragic event, but it was an event which helped shape the modern football stadiums. 96 brothers will never be forgotten. YWNA!
